Dear Shuffleboard Family and Friends,,
We wanted to share with you about one of our Elks Shuffleboard family members, Tiffany.
Last week, Tiffany suffered a serious medical emergency when an embolism traveled to her neck and spine. She underwent emergency surgery to remove the clot and has been fighting through several complications, including pneumonia and sepsis. We are relieved to share that Tiffany was moved out of the ICU today, which is an encouraging step forward in what will still be a long and challenging recovery.
Because of her condition, Tiffany has not been able to receive visitors. Sean, has been by her side throughout this difficult time, with their daughter, Kelley, and her husband traveling here to help support the family and take turns at the hospital. They will need to return home on August 14, leaving Sean to continue navigating Tiffany’s recovery.
Many of us have already been keeping Tiffany, Sean, and their family in our thoughts and prayers. We asked and Sean has aloud us to share their situation with our Elks Shuffleboard family.
We would also kindly ask that everyone refrain from overwhelming Sean with texts, calls, or messages while he is focused on Tiffany’s care and recovery. Please know that we have a way to collect and pass along your well wishes, prayers, cards, and messages of encouragement to both Sean and Tiffany. Your support means a great deal to them, and we want to ensure they receive your heartfelt messages without adding to the demands they are currently facing.
In addition, if you are able, please consider providing financial support or other assistance to help ease some of the burdens facing the family during this time. Medical emergencies create challenges that extend far beyond the hospital, and any act of kindness, no matter the size, can make a meaningful difference.
Thank you for keeping Tiffany, Sean, Kelley, and their family in your hearts during this difficult journey. Our Elks community has always been strongest when we come together to support one another, and we know your thoughts, prayers, and generosity will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
The Elks Shuffleboard League
